The shop name was derived from thye Three Bears surf break near Dunsborough in the Margret River Wine Region. The Three Bears break itself is hard to get to & is only accessible by 4WD. So that sets the theme for our shop, it’s about breaking away from the crowd and finding your own wave (wave is just a euphemism for your own style).
The owners have a strong history with Margaret River. The name of the surf break and wood from the property(counter) keep that bond going!
– Spent 8 years running a boutique vineyard in Margaret River, plus managing and marketing for the cellar door. Has a business degree and sales experience in retail and hospitality.
– Spent over 10 years working in wholesale fashion, as a senior designer for a range of large companies supplying to major outlets. Has a great sense of style and fabric feel a real designer with flair and creativity!

The two partners, Laurent Caillet and Didier Mauroux, introduced the first street labels into their multi-brand stores and were holding the exclusive distribution rights for Doctor Martens footwear in the country.With the strength of a 10 year experience in streetwear retail and wholesale behind them, the two partners decided to capitalize on the upcoming explosion of street-inspired clothing and in 1996 launched the first ddp collection. Originally positioned as a sportswear street style brand, the label gradually moved towards a fashion-oriented style.
In DDP SS06 collection, whimsy and romanticism give a very poetic dimension to today’s streetwear.Inspired from a voyage through time, from Ancient Egypt to the poetical & whimsy 19th century, without forgetting the romantism and the dandies of the 18th century.To be mentioned the strong presence of denims.From regular waists & stretch 5 pockets to trimmed preformed jeans for men, a wide range of denims mostly in grey casts. Without forgetting the japanese weavings, the doubled faced fabrics with orange link threads or even the indigo free canvas, brushed & stonewashed like denims.
If during the first decade the label focussed on the french homemarket, ddp is now determined to create a name for itself on the international street-fashion scene with an increased presence at the key tradeshows worldwide. The label is also turning over to its first loves with retail, starting with the opening last January of its first flagship store in the heart of the parisian fashion scene, at 44 rue Etienne Marcel.

Scotch & Soda was founded in 1985 and has since become what it is today.After many successful years of Scotch Mens & Kids we decided it was time to create a women’s
collection made with the same love, care and personal style. From the house of Scotch & Soda a new line is born, Maison Scotch, la femme selon Marie. This new design-studio is also based in Amsterdam. “Magasin d’une collectionneuse”. Uniquely detailed and designed we proudly present to you our first Women’s collection Summer 2010!
Our Philosophy
Like her big brother Scotch & Soda, Maison Scotch puts all her effort in creating innovative styles,fabrics, dessins & labels. The dandelion logo stands for female elegancy. La femme selon Marie translates as “the interpretation of Designer Marie, and how she vizualizes today’s woman”. Influences from all around the world are the characteristics for Maison Scotch. It has been like a roadtrip full of ideas. We used our own lovely summer days memories as inspiration for this collection. For us mixing is the key-word. Gathering souvenirs, old postcards, photo’s & books,
collecting delicate embroideries and richly handmade fabrics from antique shops. Maison Scotch will offer you eclectic pieces with a bohemian denim edge. The creations are body-conscious whilst using comfortable fabrics in innovative designs & colours. Surprising
silhouettes, refined detailing & labelling are the DNA of Maison Scotch.This is a line which maintains Scotch’s Rock and Roll aesthetic. All these elements combine to create collectable authentic items with a tinge of french artistic character. The French refinement and sense of style gives the collection a sophisticated and detailed look.
